Predictable Solutions GlideLok 2 Pack – Child Safety Door Top Lock | Dual-Sided Locking for Interior & Exterior Doors

Overview

Discover a practical, non invasive way to manage door access in homes with curious kids and pets. The GlideLok 2 Pack places a sturdy lock on top of the door, enabling locking and unlocking from either side. When unlocked, you can continue to open the door as usual, offering flexibility during busy routines while keeping doors child-safe when needed.

Fit and Compatibility

• Fits most hinged interior and exterior doors up to 1-3/8 inches thick, or up to 1-13/16 inches thick when the spacer bar is removed.
• Suitable for exterior and interior doors, French doors, and doors with levers, oversized handles, or knobs.
• Does NOT fit sliding doors, storm doors, metal door frames, or double doors that swing in both directions.

Installation at a Glance

• You must drill one screw into the door frame to secure the lock. On most exterior doors, the screw goes on the exterior portion of the frame, while you can still operate GlideLok from both sides.
• Ensure you can reach the top of your door to operate the GlideLok comfortably and safely.
• When you don’t need the lock, you can leave GlideLok unlocked for standard door use until you are ready to engage it again.

Real Life Use and Design Details

The GlideLok sits on top of the door and overhangs both sides, giving it a saddle like profile. This design makes it less tempting for children to tamper with and blends with most home décors. The durable metal construction resists flexing and stands up to years of daily use, offering a reliable alternative to plastic locks.

Use GlideLok throughout the home for easy access control in high traffic areas such as entryways, hallways, basements, pantries, and bedrooms. Its compact, unobtrusive appearance helps preserve the look of your doors while providing practical safety benefits. While it does not replace supervision, it can offer an extra layer of convenience for families balancing care and routine tasks.

Why Consider GlideLok

• Dual sided operation reduces the chance of getting stuck on the wrong side during busy moments.
• Durable metal construction delivers long lasting performance compared to plastic alternatives.
• Compact, understated aesthetic fits a range of home styles without drawing attention.

Note that this solution is designed for hinged doors and is not compatible with certain door types. Consider your door thickness, frame access, and daily routines when evaluating GlideLok for your home needs.
